The Mahdia Lighthouse, also known as the Cape of Africa Lighthouse, is a fourth-class lighthouse located in the Cape of Africa in the city of Mahdia. It was established on August 15, 1890. It consists of a hexagonal tower with a gallery and a lantern. It is fifteen meters high. The entire signal station is painted white except for the top of the tower. The Mahdia lighthouse is erected above the marine cemetery. Its lamp emits a red glow every five seconds at a focal height of 26 meters and is visible up to 31 km.
