Loang Baloq Cemetery
The Luang Baluk cemetery is one of the distinctive and attractive religious monuments for tourists on the island of Lombok. The name Luang Baluk means in the local language of Lombok the Crocodile Hole. This name came due to the existence of an old tree that is said to date back hundreds of years. There is a hole in it and a crocodile lives inside it. The place contains 3 cemeteries, which are said to include the tomb of a Muslim governor named Sheikh Jaws Abd al-Razeq, and graves of religious leaders in Lombok. According to the historical account, the governor came to Lombok to convey the teachings of Islam. Tourists come to this cemetery for prayer and pilgrimage and usually come to ask for certain things; As the pilgrims tie the roots of the Banyan tree as a sign of making a vow, and in the event that this vow is fulfilled, they return to break these vows and pray in the place to commemorate the memory.
