Macas Beach

Masas Beach is one of the most popular beaches located within walking distance of Lisbon. It is also known as “Apple Beach”, and this name comes from the fact that once upon a time apples fell from the trees at the source of the Ribera de Collares River that flows along the south side of the island. The beach, then washed up on the beach, and one of the reasons for the popularity of this beach is the tram line that connects it to Sintra during the summer months, in addition to the huge outdoor pool equipped with slides, diving boards and a children's pool.
