Mahlberg Castle

The castle with its feudal lordship was an empire that was first confirmed by the visit of Staufer emperor Friedrich II in 1218. The baroque castle was damaged at the beginning of the Thirty Years' War and rebuilt in 1630, damaged again especially between 1641 and 1642 after It was badly fixed. Baron Christian von Türckheim bought the old castle and the new palace at auction at the beginning of the 19th century to save the buildings from demolition; The castle was rebuilt again in 1910.
