Maitland Monument

The circular Maitland landmark building, with its marble columns and huge white circular dome, draws the attention of passersby, who come to visit it and discover its secrets. This landmark was built on top of a large underground water cistern using stones brought from Malta specifically for its construction. Tourists and locals usually come to visit it and take beautiful souvenir photos or to take a walk in the outdoor squares accompanied by local Greek food with family and friends.
