The Ramon Crater in the Negev Desert is the largest crater of its kind in the world. Natural geological erosion formed the crater 220 million years ago when the oceans covered the Negev Desert. It is a very huge crater that extends over an area of 40 km, and has a depth of between 2 km and 10 km. This crater is the largest nature reserve in the country and is called "Ramon Nature Reserve". You can visit the area to learn about its long history, or to spend quality time with friends and families.
