Marmaris Museum

Marmaris Museum is one of the most famous museums in Marmaris. The museum is located on the site of the beautiful Marmaris Castle, in the old town of Marmaris, on the hills behind Marmaris Marina. After the castle was restored during the years 1980-1990, the area began to function as a museum in 1991. Marmaris Castle and Museum has seven indoor areas. Two of them are organized as the Archeology Hall and one of them is organized as the Ethnography Hall. The remaining areas are used as art galleries and storage.
