Masjid Al Qiblatayn
The Qiblatain Mosque, also called the Bani Salamah Mosque, is a mosque located at the western end of Medina and is famous for its spotless whiteness. The Qiblatain Mosque is located in the Bani Salamah area on the hills of Harrat al-Wabrah on the northwest road to Medina. Specifically, on Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road and its intersection with Sultana Street (the commercial center in Medina). It is very close to the Second Ring Road (King Abdullah Road) from the west. The area of the mosque: 3,920 square meters, surmounted by two domes, the first with a diameter of 8 m and the second with a diameter of 7 m, and a height of approximately 17 m each. The reason for naming the mosque is due to the fact that after God Almighty commanded His Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, to turn towards Al-Aqsa Mosque in prayer and make it a qiblah for them, the Prophet Muhammad called on his Lord to return it to the qiblah of the prophets, which is the honorable Kaaba. or Asr) in the second rak'ah, and when the verses "written at the bottom" , The Prophet Muhammad changed the direction of the qiblah while performing the same prayer towards the Sacred House, and the congregation of worshipers followed him behind him and changed their qiblah towards the Holy Kaaba, and then the Prophet Muhammad advanced them until he arrived in front of them to complete the prayer as their imam, as it was the beginning of the same prayer.
