This mausoleum contains the tomb of Cesare Battisti, who was an Austrian citizen, geographer, and socialist politician. He stood out at the beginning of World War I, when he held public meetings calling for Italy to join the Triple Entente forces against Austria, and he was one of the followers of the Italian non-extremism movement that aims to Trentino was united with the Kingdom of Italy, and although still an Austrian citizen, Battisti fought against the Austro-Hungarian army on the Italian front. He was captured by the Austro-Hungarian army on July 10, 1916 and hanged for high treason on July 12, 1916.
