Mautstelle "Alte Wacht"

The Alt Waket House Museum in St. Johann is one of the last remaining historic dams in the state of Salzburg. The building, which is a listed building, has been used as a branch of the Valley Museum since 2001. The museum building is distinguished by its being made of wood, as it was made from the woods of the surrounding forests, and extends in front of the house a wooden suspension bridge that connects the house to the foot of the opposite hill.
