Monteagudo Castle
Monteagudo Castle is one of the most impressive sights in the city of Murcia. This ninth-century castle is located on a limestone plateau. It was designed to withstand long sieges and was used by the Moors, Arabs and Muslims, as an important defense for nearly 250 years. It is topped with a large white statue. The volume of Christ, which was added in the fifties of the last century, and King Alfonso X had made the castle his headquarters in the city.
