Monument Millennium of Russia

The Millennium is a bronze monument in the heart of the city that was erected to celebrate the millennium of Tsar Rurik's arrival in Novgorod, which, according to many historians, was the period when the Russian state began to flourish. The monument was inaugurated in the year 1862 in a huge event that was visited by tens of thousands of visitors from all over Russia and the world. The monument consists of a huge bell with a height of 15 meters crowned by a cross symbolizing the strength and height of Caesar.
