The Moscow Museum of Modern Art was opened in 1999 by the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Zurab Tsereteli, and is widely known for being the first state museum in Russia to focus its activities and work on the arts of the 20th and 21st centuries, and today it contains one of the largest collections of art Modern and contemporary Russian, the most dazzling and impressive, and many temporary and permanent shows are made that are worth a visit.
