Description of the place
Mount Akhun is a towering, self-contained mountain located in the Khostinsky district of Sochi and between the Matsesta and Khosta rivers. It is the highest point on the coast of Sochi. The height of the Great Akhun Mountain peak is about 663 meters above sea level, which is characterized by its containment of a Roman tower. Large, 100 feet high, built in 1936 of ashlar limestone.
