Mseilha Fort
Msailha Castle is located in the city of Batroun, and it is a fortress located north of the village of Hama in Lebanon. The current fort was built by Emir Fakhr al-Din II in the seventeenth century to protect the road from Tripoli to Beirut. The fort was built on a long and narrow limestone rock near the Al-Jawz River. Its walls were constructed with small sandstone blocks quarried from the nearby coast and built on the edge of a rock. Limestone, and the thickness of the walls ranges from 1.5 to 2 meters. The Citadel is one of the most important tourist attractions in Lebanon.
