Opened in 1982, the museum is located in Nice and displays works from the 18th to the 21st centuries and presents the history of satirical art from that time until today through the donation of Anatole Jakovsky (a French art critic). The works in the museum include paintings, sculptures, drawings and posters by painters such as Henri Rousseau, Louis Seraphine, Grandmother Moses, O'Brady, Rembert, Ivan, Josep General, Buchant, Vivienne, Lacovic, Ligabue, Haddelsi, Vivancos and others.
