Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Eduardo Westerdahl

It is the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACEW) that reopened in June 2007 at the Royal Customs House in Puerto de la Cruz, under the direction of IEHC Vice President of Arts, Celestino Hernandez Sánchez. Today, the museum presents a unique opportunity to learn about the art of the 20th century in the Canary Islands. It also contains works by esteemed painters such as Wolfgang Palen, Angel Ferrante, Luc Pierre or Eduardo Orolo, to name a few. The venue contains several temporary exhibitions that take place every month in the IEHC Exhibition Hall, in addition to those presented in other prestigious halls, to publicize the work of both established and new artists.
