The Museum of Fine Arts contains 14 exhibition rooms, which include works dating back to the sixteenth and twentieth centuries. The building has a classic design and was built in the beginning of 1929 by the architect Eladio Laredo. The exterior of the building is decorated with ten busts of prominent personalities from Tenerife, most notably: Teobaldo Bor (musician and composer), Ángel Guimera (poet and playwright). Among the most notable works that can be found in this museum are the “Triptic of Nava e Gremion” by Peter Cooke; "San Andres" by Jose de Rivera and many others. Among the many activities that take place there are guided tours of the museum and the city's heritage, book presentations, lectures and concerts.
