Museo de Historia y Antropologia de Tenerife

Housed in the Museum of History and Anthropology (MHA), Casa de Carta is located in Valle de Guaira and is a great example of manor houses built in the Canary Islands in the 18th century. Although it originally belonged to the de la Guaira family, in 1726 it was acquired by Captain Matias Rodríguez Carta, from which it takes its current name, and opened as a museum in 1987. The museum is a way to reconnect habits, behaviors and beliefs, contributing to reflection on reality social and cultural, promoting social integration and intercultural dialogue.
