Museo Diocesano Brescia

The Diocesan Museum is located in the splendid setting of the Abbey of San Giuseppe, designed to ensure the protection of works of sacred art that have been preserved due to the closure of some churches or churches in danger of collapse. The permanent collection on the first floor contains a series of sections dedicated to paintings and sculptures from the 14th to the 19th centuries, as well as sacred ornaments. On the ground floor, you can see the modern section dedicated to illuminated manuscripts, which includes a collection of magnificent manuscript volumes created from the twelfth century.
