Museo Historico Militar de Canarias Tenerife

This historic military museum of the Canary Islands is housed in a building known since ancient times as the Huerta de los Reflecting on the war history of the islands, which was strategically located between the mouth of the valley and the sea, built in the aftermath of a failed attack on the British fleet in 1797, commanded by Admiral Nelson ( Nelson), to meet the lack of defense of the city from the northern and western sea and land parts. The museum was opened to the public in 1988. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum has developed with the intense activity carried out by prestigious institutions, such as the cultural bodies of the government, councils, municipalities, universities and schools.
