The Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, housed in a 17th-century building, is the richest and most diverse art institution in Valencian society, noted first and foremost for its impressive collection of paintings generally recognized as the best in Spain, and including truly remarkable works of art from all over the world. The periods of painting that passed through Valencia and other Spanish and international schools, including the legends of the great artists in international painting such as: (Velazquez), (Ribera), (Murillo), (Goya) and (Sorolla).
