Museum of Zoology KULeuven

This museum displays the zoological collection of the Université Catholique de Louvain and houses an impressive collection of 5,000 preserved animals and skeletons. The pieces have been collected since 1850 with the aim of giving students an overview of the diversity of the animal kingdom. The museum is open during university hours and admission is free. In the exhibits, there are plenty of animals that have been dissected (partly) in formaldehyde, as is a complete skeleton of a bowhead whale.
