The Mashtid Garden was established in the 1830s and 1840s by Mir Fattah Agha, a high-ranking Shiite religious leader from Iran, a delegation who fled from Iran to Tbilisi during the rule of the Persian Qajar dynasty, and the leader chose Tbilisi as his residence because it was the country of his wife whom he loved and passed away before fleeing from Iran. At the present time, visitors will find many types of picturesque trees and plants, unique statues, and many recreational games suitable for all ages.
