The National Maritime Museum is located on the Motława River front, and it is one of the distinguished museums that attract many tourists to the city every year. This museum was established in 1962 AD, and it was dedicated to collecting and preserving artifacts and documents related to the transport of ships, international trade, fishing, and the culture of people working in the sea and rivers, in addition to spreading knowledge about the maritime history of Poland and its economy through the ages. One of the museum's most important exhibits is the Sołdek ship, which is a museum in itself.
