National Carillon
Located on Aspen Island, near Lake Burley Griffin, Carillon National Monument is a gift from the British Government to the people of Australia to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the national capital. The monument includes no less than 57 bronze bells singing the sweetest melodies, and is about 50 meters high, allowing the melodious sound of the bells to reach all parts of the island.
