National Museum of Slovenia - Narodni muzej Slovenije

The National Museum of Slovenia is the oldest and largest museum institution in Slovenia. It was founded in 1821. The Palace of Museums in the center of Ljubljana was built in 1888 and was the first building in Slovenia dedicated exclusively to culture. The permanent archaeological exhibition reveals the unique past of Slovenia. Among the great exhibits you can see the world's first musical instrument, the 60,000-year-old Neanderthal flute, as well as the cyola from Vis.
