Niccoline Chapel
The Nicoline Chapel (Capella Nicolina) is a small church in the Vatican Palace, and is particularly notable for its frescoes by Fra Angelico and his assistants. Its name derives from its patron, Pope Nicholas V, who built it for use as his own chapel. It is the only surviving fresco of the four that Fra Angelico completed during half a decade of intense activity for the papal ministry in Rome from 1445 to 1449.
