Housed in one of the country's oldest and newly renovated historic buildings, the Nicosia Municipal Art Center is located in the historic center of Nicosia and is the oldest and largest center for contemporary art on the island. The Center has organized more than eighty exhibitions of modern and contemporary art with the participation of famous artists from Cyprus and abroad. Many of these exhibitions have been organized in cooperation with museums, art centers and cultural institutions in Europe and other countries. Today, the museum is one of the most important tourist attractions in the country.
