Northern Maritime Museum
The Northern Maritime Museum is housed in two beautiful medieval buildings in Groningen and was opened in 1932. The museum has an exhibition that focuses on the local history of the city and presents the history of shipping and transport in Northern Holland. In addition, you can visit the multiple exhibitions that take place inside the museum throughout the year, as well as learn how the city of Groningen looked in the Middle Ages, and you can also see virtual reconstruction models of the medieval city.
