Offene Kirche Elisabethen
This Protestant church is one of the most magnificent and beautiful churches in the city of Basel, and it is almost two centuries old, as its construction began in 1857 and ended in 1865. It is the first church of its kind in Basel. It was designed by Jacques-Ange Corbel, the famous Parisian sculptor in the neo-Gothic style, where you find towers, sculptures, green domes, a clock tower, ornate giant windows, etc. It is a very unique church that everyone who visits it loves, although it has been renovated several times. Many times and many modern elements have been added to it, but it still retains its beautiful Gothic splendor.
