Old Castle

The old castle and the adjacent collegiate church are the oldest ruins of Stuttgart, and its construction dates back to the tenth century, when the castle was built as a simple moat fortress in the year 941, and it was rebuilt more than once throughout its rich history, as it was besieged and destroyed repeatedly throughout the ages, and during The sixteenth century, the ancient castle, which is a symbol of the history of the state of Württemberg, arose in the Renaissance style, and since 1948 it houses the Württemberg State Museum, and today it is one of the oldest Protestant places of worship in southern Germany.
