Old Jewish Cemetery
The old Jewish cemetery was completely destroyed during World War II and was restored and arranged again by the Association for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage to become one of the vital tourist attractions in the city. This cemetery is located on a hill overlooking the old town and is surrounded by a high wall dating back to the seventeenth century AD. A number of representatives of the Jewish community, rabbis and prominent scholars were buried in it, and it includes ornate and unadorned evidence that reflects the simplicity of life in the belief of some.
