Old Levensau Bridge
The Levensau High Bridge is an arch bridge spanning the Kiel Canal in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It is a huge bridge that took a year and a half to build, where work was initially done on the bridge supports in June 1893, then four towers were added by the architect Hermann Muthesius and it was completed in 1894. At first the bridge was closed to cars and trucks and then it was closed. Reworked and expanded for pedestrian and ground transportation. The bridge provides its visitors with an unparalleled, charming view of the city of Kiel, with its picturesque nature and ancient buildings.
