Old Parliament House
The Old Parliament House, formerly known as the Provisional Parliament, began operating on 9 May 1927 as the temporary base for the Australian Parliament, after it moved from Melbourne to the new capital, Canberra, until a more permanent building could be built. In 1988, Parliament moved to the new Parliament Building in the capital. Now, this building embraces the Museum of Australian Democracy, and is used for temporary exhibitions, lectures, conferences, and concerts, as it is distinguished by its wide areas and various departments that are suitable for these activities, which you can identify when visiting the building.
