Open Air Museum of Ethnography
The Museum of Ethnography is an open-air museum in the city of Tbilisi, and the museum displays in its courtyards examples of folk architecture and handicrafts that spread in the region in the medieval period. The museum is also called the Giorgi Chitaya Museum, an ethnographer who founded the museum in 1966 before the museum was transferred to public ownership. The museum occupies an area of 52 hectares, displaying more than 70 buildings and 8,000 historical objects.
