It is a royal palace in Oslo, Norway. It was built from 1847 to 1852 by the Danish architect Johan Henrik Nebelong, commissioned by King Oscar. Today the palace stands as a monument to Norwegian art and applied art from the 19th century. The palace, with its secondary buildings and surrounding park, is considered one of the finest examples of neo-Gothic architecture in Norway and is one of the country's most significant incarnations of the romantic national style that was so popular in the country .
