Description of the place
Megali Ammos is the closest beach to Mykonos, 600 meters to the south. Its name means "big sand", and it is a quiet beach ideal for surfing, windsurfing and fishing. This beach has no umbrellas due to the strong winds, but it is a good place to relax on the sand or just walk along it, and there are a number of hotels, apartments and small traditional restaurants just a few steps away.
