Peneda-Geres National Park
The Peneda Gerais National Park extends from the Castro-Laborero plateau to the Morella Plateau, and covers the mountain ranges of Peneda, Suago, Amarilla and Gerais. It was created in 1971 with the aim of promoting human activities and natural resources of this privileged location in the mountainous regions of northeastern Portugal, for educational, scientific and tourism purposes and for conservation. On the soil, water, flora and fauna and protect them.
