Description of the place
Fara Peak is the highest mountain peak on the island of São Miguel in the Azores archipelago. It is surrounded by the indigenous Laurisilva Forest, which is home to endemic and endangered Azorean bullfinches. The summit can be reached via a hiking trip, and despite the long distance, the stunning view That Vara summit provides is worth it.
