Planetarium Ostrava

Planetarium in Ostrava, is the third largest planetarium in the Czech Republic, this magnificent dome was founded in 1980 and is part of the Technical University of Ostrava. It is situated in the lands on the western outskirts of Ostrava. This dome provides several activities and programs throughout the year, including audio-visual programs under the artificial sky, suitable for school education, and also works to educate and spread astronomy among the public. There are two domes for this observatory. The first is for an audience interested in starry sky themes. The second dome is used for professional astronomical observations.
