Ploskovice Palace was founded by Ann Mary Francis Tuscan between 1720 and 1725, and by the 19th century the Habsburgs had acquired the area and the palace had become the summer residence of the retired Austrian emperor and the last crowned Bohemian monarch Ferdinand V, and today the palace is a popular destination among tourists and even locals, as it is surrounded by vast spaces and picturesque gardens ideal for strolling.
