Description of the place
Port de la Crave is the oldest fort in the city of Nancy. It was built in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, and later became a prison until the nineteenth century. With the passage of time, the Notre Dame gate behind it doubled the city's defenses. Nowadays, it has become a symbol of the old city.
