Pulverturm
An ancient tower dating back to the sixteenth century AD. It was part of the historic Oldenburg fortifications until the beginning of the seventeenth century. The building was also used to store gunpowder during the period between 1730 and 1765 during the Danish rule of the region. It is a circular red brick building with a conical dome-like roof. Today, the tower includes a museum of ceramics, which displays many crafts carved on porcelain and earthenware panels.
