Purmerends Museum

The Burmerende Museum is located in the heart of Burmerend, and presents a collection of paintings, prints, books and letters that tell the story of the city that managed to develop into the heart of the fish, livestock and timber trade in the fourteenth century. The museum is famous for its own collection of ancient pottery that was manufactured in the city in the past. There are temporary exhibitions and collections throughout the year that focus on historical topics related to the city.
