Al-Qaisariya Market is a historical market and is located in the Al-Rifa’a neighborhood in the city of Al-Hofuf in the Al-Ahsa region in the east of the Kingdom. It was built in 1822 AD. The market contains many shops, numbering about 422, and the municipality owns 177 of them that are rented, and the people own 251 shops. Al-Qaisariya Market is one of the tourist attractions in the city of Hofuf, where visitors come from various Arab and foreign countries and the Arab Gulf states, including Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and others. Al-Qaisariya market consists of rows of shops located in closed and covered corridors, where the building of the market resembles the Ottoman style, and the Al-Qaisariya market is distinguished from other markets in the Arabian Gulf by the doors of the shops that are called (like a bank), and it consists of three pieces, two pieces, on which the owner of the shop sits. The third piece is attached to a plank in the wall. In 2001, a fire broke out in the market, caused by an unknown person, and the fires caused a lot of material damage. And in 2013 AD, Al-Qaisariya Market was fully opened.
