Rabenstejn Tower

The Rabenstein Tower dates back to the fourteenth century, and it is one of the oldest heritage sites in the city of Cesky Budejovice. This tower was one of the two fortification towers in the area, so that they were once part of the city walls, and it was used as a haven for the city's defenders. It was even used as a prison until the early nineteenth century, and today it houses a distinguished museum displaying a collection of historical weapons and stories related to them.
