Real Basilica el Grande

The Great Cathedral is a Roman Catholic church located in the city center of Madrid, Spain. It was established with the monastery in the thirteenth century AD on the site of a chapel. The cathedral was designed in a neoclassical style in the second half of the eighteenth century. Its dome, measuring 33 meters (108 ft) in diameter by 58 meters (190 ft), is more circular than typical domes built in the 18th century. It is the most distinctive feature of the place, as it enjoys great beauty and is decorated with wonderful paintings by various artists.
