Red Tower

The Red Tower is located near the city center and many of its tourist and commercial facilities. It is also one of the oldest prominent historical monuments dating back to the late twelfth century AD. It first served as a fortress to protect the surrounding settlements, then it was incorporated into the ancient fortifications of the city, and it was named after this. The name is given to the red color prevailing in the building materials that were used to construct it.
