Reformed Great Church of Debrecen

The Great Reformed Church of Debrecen is the symbol of the city and one of the largest Reformed churches in the country. It is a building of great historical importance, as it was in it that the Declaration of Independence took place on April 14, 1849, and the chair used by the President on that glorious occasion is one of the most precious relics in the church. Its main structure has been rebuilt several times, and its classical model familiar today was developed after the fire of 1802, and its visitor can enjoy stunning views of the city from the top of its towers or steel bridge, and religious history exhibitions, concerts and other important events are also hosted in this church.
